    Purpose:
    This position provides appropriate safety and health, accident prevention, and investigation training for managers
    and supervisors. Assists management in the annual inspection of workplaces to assure safe and healthful
    conditions for workers.
    Job Responsibilities:
    ? Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
    ? Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
    ? Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
    ? Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
    ? Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
    ? Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
    ? Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
    ? Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
    ? Assists, plans, and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal
    rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of
    Transportation (DOT).
    ? Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for
    corrective or preventive measures were indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been
    implemented.
    ? Conducts post-accident investigation and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards
    for use by company personnel and senior management.
    ? Assists in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs.
    ? Assist and maintain environmental reports including Storm water permits, SPCC etc.
    ? Supports, and complies with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food
    safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs and legality.
    ? Prefer experience in OSHA, MSHA, DOT and EPA regulatory requirements.
    ? Supports and complies with GMPs
    ? Follows all company policies and procedures.

    Skills/Work Experience:

    • Proven competency in supervisory activities which require conflict management, developing
    subordinates, directing subordinates, managing, and measuring performance, motivating, building team
    spirit and morale, and understanding diverse viewpoints.
    • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Experience with using a full range of statistical and analytical tools and fundamentals.
    • Must be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays as the employer determines are
    necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
    ? Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    ? Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
    ? Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
    ? Familiarity with mechanical functions of all machines/equipment.
    ? While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands
    to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders. The employee is occasionally
    required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The
    employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job
    include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
    ? Ability to wear a company-provided uniform.
    Education: Bachelor’s degree in
    environmental safety,
    Occupational Safety and Health,
    or related field required,
    Master’s degree desirable.

    Years of
    Experience:

    Three to Five years of related
    experience preferred.
